Dr. William Richardson

Dr. William Richardson, is from the Southside of Chicago. As the sixth of eight children raised in humble beginnings, he developed a profound commitment to assisting individuals from similar backgrounds. Frequently, neighborhoods like his lacked vital resources, opportunities, and second chances for those in need of a fresh start. With over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, his academic journey commenced at Arizona State University (ASU), where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minored in Business. While at ASU, he worked on research projects on cooperation and team building under Dr. Steven Neuberg. He was also the President of the Black Student Union. Subsequently, he pursued advanced studies at Northern Arizona University, where he obtained both a master’s degree in Human Relations and a doctorate in Educational Leadership, conducting research under Dr. Walter Delecki. As one of the few individuals from his neighborhood to attain a doctoral degree, he strived to serve as a role model, encouraging others to seek opportunities beyond his community and actively working to provide those opportunities. Currently, he owns health clinics located in Dubai, Illinois, and Arizona, and maintains an active involvement in the health sector within the state of Arizona. In 2020, his organization was prominently featured in USA Today, as one of the initial responders to the COVID-19 pandemic. He provided essential resources, including housing in hotels, to those in need. Since then, he has continued to deliver services to underserved and underprivileged communities. Our latest initiative aims to address the needs of a critical population—individuals recently released from jail and prison—by providing transitional housing. Residents in the hotels will have access to essential services designed to facilitate their reintegration and offer them a second chance at life.
Marvelous Marilyn

I have been working in the ‘Helping Professions’ since 1985. As a graduate from the highest rated School of Social Work, Washington University in St Louis Missouri (1996), I have worked to help people find their paths to a better life. I am also a credentialed member of the American Correctional Chaplains Association. I have been a Licensed Master of Social Work with the state of Arizona since 2016. I worked as a Chaplain and Social worker in several settings, including as a Medical Social Worker, in a juvenile jail, with the mentally challenged who have criminal backgrounds, and most recently in drug treatment. For me when a client comes in to talk with me no question is turned away or thought of as unworthy to discuss. I meet the client where they are in their lives and help them to create their own path to a better life. I like using different disciplines to help them do that. And it is always my honor to do so.
